Event Details

This workshop explores how to harness GenAI for good in the classroom, with a particular emphasis on digital technologies. Led by Dr Marissa Bond – a qualified teacher, computer scientist, and former CTO of an Adelaide-based EdTech startup – we’ll look at the current state of GenAI and how it relates to the classroom, its impact on the future of work, and how we can begin to adapt our teaching and assessment practices to meet the evolving needs of learners. No prior knowledge is required or assumed.

The session includes a hands-on rapid prototyping activity, where we’ll use GenAI and freely available tools to kick-start the development of a simple text-based “choose your own adventure” game using Python and then Godot (with curriculum connections of course!)

Attendees: please bring your own laptop so you can follow along with the activity.
