Join us for a relaxing and creative evening at “Happy Canvas: Paint, Sip and Smile”. This event is designed to bring people together through art, mindfulness, and connection. Whether you are an experienced artist or a complete beginner, this session offers a welcoming space to unwind, explore creativity, and enjoy a calming atmosphere.

Who Should Attend

This event is open to Flinders University staff, and anyone interested in art, relaxation, and social connection. No prior painting experience is required.

 

Catering

Light catering will be provided, including snacks, soft drinks and refreshments. Participants are welcome to enjoy a casual ‘sip and paint’ experience while creating their artwork.

 

Presenter

Dr Farah Jafarpisheh

Farah is a Teaching Assistant in Chemistry at Flinders University with a strong passion for acrylic painting on canvas. Her work focuses on expressive and meaningful art, and she is dedicated to making creativity accessible to everyone.

Farah is actively involved in the local art community. She participated in SALA 2025 and the Victor Harbour Art Show 2026, where she successfully sold her artwork as part of a large exhibition of over 1,300 pieces. She has also contributed to the Arts to Hearts Project Journal.

Through her Sip & Paint sessions, Farah aims to build a creative, inclusive, and supportive art community at Flinders University, encouraging people of all backgrounds and skill levels to explore and enjoy art.

No, this session is beginner-friendly.

What should I bring?
All materials will be provided.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting a little paint on, apron will be provided.

Can I take my painting home?
Yes, all participants will take home their artwork.

How many participants?
Approximately 30 participants per session.
