Book Club Series | Short Stories, Big Impact
About this event
Led by Flinders writer and academic Marina Deller, join us for the Book Club’s first city‑based session exploring short stories and the art of small narratives.
About this event
Short fiction invites us into a moment, a voice, a feeling, and often leaves us thinking long after we’ve finished. From flash fiction to contemporary collections, we’ll explore how writers create depth, tension and connection in just a few pages.
📚 Bring along a short story or collection you’ve enjoyed, even just one that has stayed with you, or come along to listen and join the conversation.
📖 Discover and borrow from the Library’s Leisure Reading Collection, curated to support reading for enjoyment.
About the Book Club Series
Supported by the University’s Thriving at Flinders program, the Library’s 2026 Book Club series is all about connection, wellbeing and the joy of leisure reading. Featuring Flinders University writers, it offers a relaxed space for staff and students to come together and share ideas.
Each session includes:
- Curated reading lists
- Guided discussion led by academic staff
- Light refreshments and small giveaways
👥 Open to staff and students.
