Showcasing Disability and Community Inclusion at Flinders University

SHOWCASING RESEARCH IN DISABILITY AND COMMUNITY INCLUSION!!!

This November, we are hosting a showcase of current research being done at Flinders University in Disability and Community Inclusion.

At the event, you will hear from both our Research staff and Community Researchers.

You will learn about the work we do across our 5 key research areas:

• Promoting inclusion
• Challenging marginallisation
• Supporting quqlity in practice
• Accessible healthcare
• Evaluating quality in support and service design

We will share practical evidence-based resources to help translate our current research to improve policy and practice. You will also learn about ways co-research with Community Researchers shapes the work we do.

You also will have opportunities to connect with Flinders researchers to explore potential industry partnerships.

The event is for disability support service providers, government representatives, disability support workers, current or potential students, Flinders staff within and outside disability studies and people with disability.

When: Wednesday 11 November 2026, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Light lunch and afternoon tea provided.

Where: Flinders City Campus. Rooms 605 and 606, Level 6. You can find Flinders City Campus here.

Accessibility

The building and room are wheelchair accessible. After you have ordered your ticket, there is an additional opportunity to tell us what would make the event more accessible for you (e.g., hearing loop, Auslan interpreter).

The event will be live-streamed or recorded. You can register as an in-person attendee or an online-only attendee. If you register for online attendance, a link will be sent to you closer to the date!
