OISE RAP Conference

The Office of Indigenous Strategy and Engagement is proud to invite staff and students to celebrate with us, the upcoming RAP Conference, as well as the official launch of our new Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and the Indigenous Workforce Strategy 2026-2030.

Taking place on Wednesday 20 May in the Bedford Park Hub, this special event marks the beginning of three days dedicated to connection and meaningful action.

The new Stretch RAP represents a deepened commitment to reconciliation, embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, knowledges and leadership across the university. Alongside this, we will celebrate the launch of the Indigenous Workforce Strategy 2026-2030 to honour our shared commitment to strengthening Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment outcomes, cultural capability, leadership and excellence across the organisation.

Across the following three days, attendees can engage in a diverse program featuring keynote speaker Flinders alumna and 2022 Northern Territory Australian of the Year, Deputy Chancellor Leanne Liddle. The program also includes a special storytelling session with Kaurna Elder Uncle Mickey O’Brien, alongside a range of activities led by local organisations Southern Cultural Immersion and Kuma Kaaru. For the first time with Yungkurrinthi, Kaurna Kardla will deliver a high-level exploration of Aboriginal land management practices, offering valuable insight into cultural knowledge and care for Country.

The week will culminate in a lively Market Day, showcasing Indigenous businesses and creativity. Expect a dynamic atmosphere with a live DJ, interactive Silk Painting and plenty more to explore.
