Event Details

The Groundwater Modelling Decision Support Initiative (GMDSI) presents a four-part webinar series – with one session each week. This series explores the philosophical basis of decision-support groundwater modelling. It then discusses how these concepts can be put into practice.

The target audience is broad. This series is designed not just for modellers. It is also designed for those who wish to understand more about how numerical modelling can and cannot enhance environmental management. Its contents are meaningful, but not hard to understand. For some, it will refresh concepts with which they are already familiar. For others, it will confirm what their intuition has always told them. And for others, it will explain past modelling disappointments.

This series is presented by John Doherty (author of PEST) and Catherine Moore (CSIRO), with contributions from Jeremy White (USGS, co-author of PEST++ and PyEMU).

The series commences on Wednesday 20th May and concludes on Wednesday 10th June. Webinar Time 3pm – 4pm AEST (Brisbane).
