Four events will be run over 3 days at Wulanda Recreation Centre, Mount Gambier.

SPORT CAREER EXPO

Students from across the Limestone Coast are invited to attend the Flinders University Sport Career Expo as a gateway into the world of sport coaching, sports performance and sport development.

The sport career expo has been specifically designed for students in regional and remote areas across the Limestone Coast to inspire, energise and support students to pursue their passion for sport and active recreation.

Learn from leading academics in the field and experience ‘a day in the life of a sport student’ at Flinders, giving students a head start on their career.

Choose from two dates:

MENTAL HEALTH AND SPORT FORUM

During this forum, Associate Professor Sam Elliott will share his research insights about mental health and community sport, outline key challenges for change, and provide strategies and key resources for creating and maintaining a mental health-supportive culture in sport. This forum is highly recommended for anyone who is involved in organised sport including sport leaders, club coordinators, coaches, teachers, athletes, policy makers, government officials, parents, welfare and health officers, and/or those who have an interest in improving mental health in regional communities.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP FOR SPORT

Professionals, practitioners and volunteers across the Limestone Coast are invited to attend Flinders’ Professional Development Workshop for Sport as a gateway into the world of sport coaching, sports performance and sport development.

This event has been specifically designed for regional and remote areas across the Limestone Coast to inspire, energise and support improvements in community sport.
