Designed for any health professional with an interest in stroke care, this free webinar will introduce key principles and emerging insights regarding stroke and nutrition. We begin by looking at primary management with a focus on modifiable risk factors and stroke prevention, then move to the acute phase with a focus on malnutrition and early rehabilitation and lastly we consider long term client goals such as reablement through to palliative care. This webinar was developed for all allied health to help you understand the role that dietitians play in supporting the health of individuals at risk of stroke, and what you should know in order to support that journey.
Alongside practical, evidence informed content you can apply in clinical practice, the session also offers a glimpse into the kind of contemporary, clinically grounded learning you can expect in the Clinical Rehabilitation courses at Flinders University and is a perfect taster if you’re looking to advance your career and deepen your expertise in rehabilitation.
Presenter: Dr Morgan Pankhurst (Accredited Practising Dietitian, Lecturer, and Research Fellow)
