Event Details

The Academic Preparation Program is series of five seminars giving students a head start on their courses by providing them with an understanding of the important academic skills required for their work. These cover critical thinking, assignment preparation, academic reading and writing, and the basic maths which underpins many papers. Repeat sessions of seminars are offered throughout the week. Choose as many as you like!

Academic integrity defined, examples of academic integrity breaches, why academic integrity is important, how referencing works, plagiarism, how to use a referencing guide, a brief introduction to quoting and referencing, examples of student essays and academic articles, how to learn more about academic integrity and referencing.
