Flinders City Campus is celebrating its first anniversary of opening and we are marking this momentous occasion with a party for you!

The first anniversary party is at the new Social Station on Level 5. In response to student feedback last year, the Social Station has been developed as a space for students to unwind, connect and hangout with other students. You will find ping pong and foosball tables, more bookable study spaces, an extra kitchen area, lounges and comfortable chairs, and big group tables for collaborative study.

What: Live music, food throughout the day, games including ping pong and foosball, giveaways, and more.

This session introduces Flinders Learning Online (FLO), an essential component of your study. You’ll learn how to navigate the FLO platform including how to access the textbooks and readings for your topics. We’ll share tips for submitting your assignments and show you where to get help if you need it.

After the session you can get acquainted with our branches on a guided group tour. We’ll show you how make the most of our library spaces, including the best study rooms for group work, how to borrow physical books, and where to get librarian assistance.

We will show you:

• How to prepare for uni assignments, from planning to submission
• The skills needed get good results at university
• The different kinds of assignments you will be asked to do
• Terminology like WNF, CR, Census date
• Our tips on making a schedule that will work for you
