Can you ever truly know another person completely?
In the lead-up to Christmas, the disappearance of a 2-year-old boy shakes a rural Australian town to its core. Simon, a man attempting to find his footing, discovers himself caught in the ripples of suspicion and fear. As secrets surface, Simon’s connections with those around him begin to unravel, forcing him to confront the unsettling truth: can we ever truly know the people we love, or are we all hiding behind fragile facades?
At its core, Transparency is a gripping, emotionally charged exploration of trust, deception, and ultimately human connection—how truly fragile, unpredictable, and hauntingly opaque it can be. With every moment, Simon teeters on the edge of losing everything he once understood about those dearest to him.
This production of Transparency by Suzie Miller is brought to you by Second-Year Bachelor of Performance Acting and Directing students, assisted by First-Year Theatre Makers. Please be advised that the show contains strong course language, adult themes, sexual references, strong discussion/depiction of violence, and theatrical effects.
Run time: 90 minutes, with an intermission.
