Event Details

Led by Justina Ashman – writer, editor and zine-making extraordinaire – this beginner-friendly workshop introduces the fundamentals of zine-making.

You’ll explore simple layouts, folding techniques, and creative prompts to help you build a complete A7 mini zine from a single sheet of paper by the end of the session.

Along the way, you’ll dive into the world of zines and DIY publishing, experiment with collage-based approaches, and have space to overshare about niche special interests in the name of creativity.

All art and collage supplies will all be provided – just bring your ideas and come along to achieve your zine dreams!✍️✂️📝🖨️

About the speaker:

Justina Ashman is a writer, editor, zine-maker and PhD candidate at Flinders University. Her writing has appeared in such journals as Liminal, Kill Your Darlings and Pencilled In. She is a co-producer and co-host of the Amy & Book Club podcast with author Amy Matthews. She spends her time researching queer romance novels and making zines about her cats.
