FUMA End of Year Exhibition Tours

This exhibition brings together new works by six Barkandji/Barkindji artists who have aspired as a group to make Barkandji/Barkindji Country an active participant in their project. The artists travelled together across vast stretches of their ancestral Country in New South Wales and spent time engaging with cultural landscapes, Elders, community and each other. Their travels provided a rich foundation for the creation of their works across diverse mediums, which explore and illuminate their ancestral connection to Barkandji/Barkindji Country. Although their Country and people have suffered through the ongoing pressures of colonisation, ngaratya is a journey of love, empowerment, respect and connection.

The tour will provide a short introduction to the artists and their works.

Tours are scheduled to commence at 12:30pm on the following dates:
