Flinders Investigators l Professor Malcolm Battersby - 23 August

Flinders Investigators is a free public lecture series bringing the University's world-leading research to the wider community.

On Wednesday 23 August, Professor Malcolm Battersby - Professor of Psychiatry at Flinders University - will deliver a Flinders Investigators lecture on New developments in psychological and internet based treatments for anxiety and depression.

Professor Battersby's team at Flinders University led the training and supervision for 30  'low intensity' coaches in the successful beyondblue New Access project in three sites across Australia. Over 3000 people with anxiety and depression achieved 68% recovery rates. This low intensity model of guided self-help has the potential revolutionise the delivery of mental health services in Australia.
