The 13th Latin American Film Festival in Australia gets finally under way in Adelaide next Friday 3 November!
We invite you all to join us at 6.00 pm for a chat and nibbles before our official opening by Dean (People & Resources) of Flinders University´s College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences Prof. Diana Glenn and inaugural talk by Secretary for Cultural Affairs at the Embassy of The Republic of Chile Mr. Felipe Orellana, followed by musical performance by Mr. Christian Cifuentes and opening film Our Father – The Last Date (Chile, 2006).
The festival will present a selection of 13 films from all over Latin America, including international award winning pieces and featuring some of the most exciting and creative productions to reach the big screen in recent years.
Every weeknight during the next two weeks, a film will be shown at 6.30 pm in one of the rooms at Flinders on Victoria Square. Doors will open at 6.15 pm for a prompt start. Entry to all screenings is free of charge and all films are subtitled in English.
